City Centre Beat Team – Weekly Round-Up
It’s been a busy week for our team keeping Leicester City Centre safe and connected!
Our PCSOs held engagement events at:
-Haymarket Shopping Centre
-Age UK
-The Buddhist Centre
Offering crime & ASB prevention advice
Handing out purse bells to deter theft
Signing up residents to Neighbourhood Link
Providing reassurance to the community
PC Dean has submitted 2 Criminal Behaviour Orders for review against juveniles involved in targeted ASB.
Fireworks-related ASB has increased this week. Our officers have been:
-Patrolling hotspot areas
-Engaging with students & accommodation providers
-Promoting safe use of fireworks
A warrant was executed at a City Centre location resulting in 2 arrests for drug offences.
PC Karl has been actively patrolling transport hubs:
-Seizing alcohol from street drinkers
-Arresting a male wanted on warrant
-Working with outreach teams to support vulnerable individuals
This weekend, we’ll be out supporting the Night Time Economy Operation – helping ensure everyone enjoys a safe night out in our city.
